Winter Legacy -4.5-

Hayley and Cupid became so caught up in their small family that they lost track of how quickly time flew by. Soon they had two toddlers to content with, as well as personality changes. Comet became more quiet, preferring to make his wishes known mentally, he spent all his time with his toy Giggles who became his best friend. Angel on the other hand was more outgoing, her parents had to scold her more than once for stealing toys from her brother.

Hayley had finally convinced her husband to feed on Delvin. "He's used to it." She told him, but it disgusted him.

"It's quite alright Sir, this is my purpose in life." Delvin assured Cupid.

He sank his fangs into the butler's arm and nearly vomited but the fresh O positive blood tasted so good! Delvin grunted but didn't complain.

Cupid was back to his noisy self, as if he were never in a trance in the first place. His children had gotten used to his outbursts which thoroughly amused his wife. "Damnit!" He roared at the television when the car he was racing screeched its tires and flipped over, causing him to fall into last place.

In cause you were wondering about my spares, Chanel  became engaged to her long time boyfriend Darryl Bradshaw.

The two had a lovely beach wedding, which they invited their family and a few close friends to.

They vowed never to tell their daughter Sheree how she was conceived though.

Snowy and Stanley Nice had been married for a long time but were both caught up in hectic schedules. She was nearly forty when she conceived twins and gave birth to a daughter Griselda and a son Aaron. Not until her children were born and started nibbling at her breasts would she find out her husband's terrible secret, a secret which would pull her and her children closer to Cupid and Hayley.

Coco married a much older man, Chester Dietz, the pair would have a son who they called Broderick.

Meanwhile, Cupid's children, the moment they learnt how to speak they could articulate words into sentences more complex than anyone could even imagine. They were quite capable of holding adult conversations, especially Comet, although he rarely spoke to anyone.

Cupid had gotten used to the idea of having a wife and two children, Hayley eventually showed him everything that he'd missed out on. The two were very close, their blood bond had absolutely nothing to do with this closeness, Cupid loved his wife dearly. He couldn't even imagine living without her. For Hayley, she was finally happy, although at the back of her mind, there was the constant anxiety about Shawn and what would happen if she found out about Comet, there was also a nervousness about what she had to do to Shayne, she loved her brother-in-law, her children loved their uncle, but she loved her little family too much to let Shayne go on being human and risk Shawn's wrath which may involve losing her brother-in-law and her family.

Hayley found out one day that he son could read his own bed time stories, she read to both her children before bed and sometimes before their naps. One day she was reading to Comet when in her mind, she saw him calling each word perfectly.

Hayley did not know what to expect from vampire children, the only other vampire children she had encountered were Snowy's and Stanley's twins, although the twins were more advanced than any human baby, they weren't even close to Comet.

Cupid and Hayley decided to start a band, they were relying on their celebrity status to bring in money. Money was not an object but they had become bored.

Eventually it was time for Angel's birthday, the Winters hated to put the toddling stage behind them, Cupid worried about what Angel's childhood years would hold, she did not play well with other children because she was outspoken like her father but unlike him and his social skills, Angel was borderline mean and not an angel at all.

Angel greatly favored her father, that was for sure, but her curiously colored eyes...

She immediately bonded with her mother, like all little girls, Angel decided that her mother was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. She was ecstatic when her mother bought her a new outfit and did her hair up.

Angel's best friend was still Puzzles though, he understood her and she never had to fight with him for toys.

On Monday morning when the bus came Angel bolted out of the house.

"Where are you going?" Cupid shouted after her, the plan was for him and Hayley to drop her to school on her first day, but of course Angel would do her own thing. The child waved the bus down and blew a kiss at her confused father.

"I'm tired of you being a toy." Angel said to Puzzles when she got home that evening. "It's time for you to come out and play."

Angel was the only person who could see Puzzles but that was all well and good at least she had someone her own age to play with now.

Cupid did not approve of the imaginary friend, his daughter needed to get out and learn how to socialize with real children.

"But I want to play with Puzzles Daddy." She couldn't understand what the big deal was.

"Comet's birthday is in a few days, why don't you invite Teresa over for a sleep over, you can play with Puzzles when she leaves."

"No." Angel pouted, Cupid scolded her for her backtalk and sent her to bed early, he'd be damned if his own kids disrespected him.

The next day Hayley went over to Shayne's place. She stated her cause, explaining that Shawn thought that he knew too much and for the safety of his family and hers he needed to be turned. "Later she may order you to turn your wife and daughter, but it beats dying prematurely because of a greedy woman, doesn't it?"

Shayne took only a minute to consider, "Tee, go upstairs baby, I'll come check on you in a minute but me and Aunty Hayley need to talk m'kay."

As soon as the girl disappeared, Shayne pulled up his shirt sleeve and allowed Hayley to sink her fangs in. "I will come by regularly to condition you for the change, make sure that you behave yourself once it's complete."

  2. This Shawn is too much. Someone has to do away with her. She can't just order people to the be turned left right and center like this. It's not on!

  3. I'm so glad that Cupid loves his family and that he's happy now.
He doesn't know about Shawn's plans like Haley does.

Shayne really cares about his family to willingly make such a sacrifice for them!

    Haley is gorgeous too!
